2013 OCA Mixed Doubles Challenge
November 22, 2012
a new Provincial, a new National……
You can be the first Team Ontario at the Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials.
If you and a friend are one of the first 32 teams to sign-up you will play in the
OCA Mixed Doubles Challenge
at Annandale, January 18 – 20, 2013.
The inaugural
Canadian Mixed Doubles Trials
will be held March 14-17, 2013 in Leduc, Alberta.
The winning Team Canada will move on to the World Curling Federation’s
2013 World Mixed Doubles Championship
, to be held in Fredericton, New Brunswick from April 13-20.
There is no age restriction (minimum or maximum) but you must be one male and one female that are both members of the same OCA club.
The Mixed Doubles game format is played over eight ends. Each team has only six stones, of those one from each team is prepositioned on the centre line before every end of play. One player delivers the first and last stones of the end while the other player throws the second, third and fourth stones. If they choose to, the two players may swap positions from one end to the next. Both team members are also allowed to sweep.
