Teams Wanted - A Terrific Opportunity
August 21, 2012
The Ontario Curling Association is inviting curling teams to participate in an NCCP Level 3 Technical Course to be held at the Russell Curling Club in Russell (Ottawa area) on Saturday, October 27, 2012.
Teams may be bantam, junior or open age level and must be competing at least at the zone or higher level. Your own coach should be willing to accompany you for the day.
The NCCP Level 3 Course is a three-day course and teams are brought in for the one day so that the student Level 3 coaches can have real teams to work with.
The teams will:
work on ice with their new “coach”
have their delivery and brushing skills analyzed using the V1 Home video/laptop method
play a game under specific conditions
learn new practice techniques
experience in-class strategy, mental preparation, team dynamics, etc.
There is no cost to the teams. You must get to the club for 9:00 AM and be prepared to stay all day until 5:00 PM.
Lunch will be available for purchase
.
This is a terrific opportunity for all teams to gain some inside coaching knowledge and experience. However there is only a limited number of teams needed and they will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. If interested email Tom Ward at the OCA,
tom@ontcurl.com
or call the office at 905-831-1757 or toll free 1-877-668-2875.
